Warsaw R-IX Board Retreat last night, July 10th!
Thank you Hawthorn Bank for allowing us to use the great space.
Thank you Kevin Daniel (@KDFiredUp) for facilitated the discussion.

The driveway work at HS/JBMS campus will begin tomorrow, 7/11. For weights, parents and students will need to go on the backside of the building and park by the bus barn. Students will need to walk up the stairs by the home side bleachers. Starting 7/17, you should be able to resume normal drop-off.

Warsaw R-IX School District office is excited to welcome our new Assistant Superintendent, Shannon Deckard, to her first official day on the job!

Our fourth and fifth-grade students hosted a school carnival this week. This was the culmination of a lot of hard work, and they invited some younger classes to come in and participate in the fun.

Some of our summer school first-grade students went on a bird-watching excursion. How Cool!

Today on the playground some of our 3rd, 4th, & 5th-grade summer school students experimented with and launched water-propelled air rockets.

Here are some summer photos from our summer school first grades working on writing their names and sight word in shaving cream.

Today at Summer School, our 3rd-grade students visited the Lost Valley Fish Hatchery. They learned about native fish species, had finishing demonstrations, and even got to go fishing themselves. They had a great time!

Our Early Childhood students enjoyed their last day of summer school with popsicles and bubbles!

The third-grade Summer School classes took a field trip to the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center. Students got to walk the trail to see the Hooper House, a one-room schoolhouse, and overlook Truman Lake.

Today in first-grade Summer School we learned about different things that grow in the garden this week. We planted zucchini seeds that we observed and watered each day. We sponge-painted carrots yesterday that grow in the ground. Today, we discussed how corn grows “above the ground” and made tissue paper corn on the cob.

Some fun activities from our littlest friends at summer school!

Some seahorses and other ocean crafts from our first-grade summer school class.

Today the Boonslick Regional Library Book Mobile stopped by and donated books for all Warsaw summer school students: a big thank you and shoutout to our friends at Booneslick Regional Library!

Some more ocean fun from second-grade summer school!

Summer School Fun!
