🔬 STEM in Action at South Elementary! 🌉
South Elementary 5th grade students in Mrs. Harris’ class recently participated in an exciting STEM challenge. Students were tasked with designing and building a bridge that spanned 30 cm. After studying various bridge designs, they got to work following specific steps and guidelines.
Once completed, the bridges were put to the test! The bridge with the best strength-to-weight ratio was declared the winner. The winning bridge achieved an impressive ratio of 60.35—what a bridge!
Through this challenge, students learned that using more materials doesn’t always lead to a stronger structure and can actually reduce performance by increasing weight. Great teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking, Wildcats! 👏

✨📗 South Elementary first graders in Mrs. Redd’s class are officially published authors! 📗✨
Over the past couple of months, students have worked incredibly hard to write, revise, edit, illustrate, and publish a book titled If I Were an Elf…
Each student imagined themselves as one of Santa’s helpers and decided what their job would be if they lived at the North Pole. After all their hard work was complete, the book was sent off to the publisher for printing!
To celebrate this exciting accomplishment, the class hosted a book signing and author party for parents and loved ones. Guests enjoyed tasty treats and hot chocolate while celebrating our young authors. Many proud families joined the fun and even received their very own copy of the book signed by our distinguished authors! 📖✍️🎄

Bus A is running late this afternoon due to an overheating issue. Students are being moved to a different bus and will be on their way shortly. Thank you for your patience & understanding as we work to get students home safely.
Congratulations to our elementary students who won the recent Library Ornament Contest! 🎄✨#WildcatTradition #TisTheSeason #HolidaySpirit

The arrest has been completed and Sheriff office is just waiting on a tow truck. North School is back to normal operations.
All students and staff are safe at North School. Our North School went into a soft lockdown (no students or staff going outside) early this morning due to an arrest taking place near North School. There is no threat on campus.
A huge thank you to Sonic of Warsaw for donating multiplication cards for our 3rd grade students at North and South Elementary! We appreciate your continued support for our entire district! 💚✨ #WildcatTradition #Community ##OneTeamOneTown

Mrs. Redd’s First Grade classroom turned into a full construction zone yesterday! 🚧🛠️
Students suited up and tackled 10 construction-themed math challenges, earning their very own Certified Construction Certificate. The mix of addition and subtraction problems was no match for these hard-working learners!
They wrapped up their math unit with an exciting, hands-on activity—and they absolutely nailed it! 👷♂️📚👷♀️ #WildcatTradition #ConstructionZoneLearning
