Mrs. Bell's preschool class at South Elementary has been studying Spring weather and wind. Today we explored the fun things to do with wind in four outdoor stations. We played with bubbles, pinwheels, gliders and kites. We had two kites up at the same time!





South Elementary had a Walk of Fame through the halls today for Jase and Boston. Good luck at the State Wrestling Tournament!

A big Wildcat shoutout to Mr. Jackson Sneed, 4th grade student at South Elementary. A few weeks ago Jackson was the first student this year from South Elementary to surpass 1 million word read! Way to go!


Miss Wooden’s Kindergarteners at South Elementary were able to put their teamwork skills to use on Thursday. They worked in groups to brainstorm and create a Leprechaun trap from various materials.

Spring Picture Day is coming up on March 28th, 2023 for South School! We will not be sending Order Flyers home with students this year. Be sure to preorder your pictures at inter-state.com/order and use Order Code 76411YF. Only students who preorder will be photographed.

Happy Pi Day (3.14)! You are welcome to attend South Elementary's Title 1 A informational meeting and data presentation this evening. There will be games for students and pizza “pi” for all attendees. Meeting will be hosted in the South Gymnasium. Doors open at 4:50, with festivities beginning at 5:00.

First and second grade students at both North and South Elementary schools had veterans and Jr. ROTC visitors that presented on the history and proper etiquette of the American Flag. All students at the presentation learned flag protocols, flag folding, and even received their own American flag to take home.

Warsaw R-IX School District will be participating in the state wide tornado drill today, 3/7, at 10am.

South Elementary students of the month were announced Friday. These students were chosen because they excel in teamwork and being a part of a group. They got to enjoy pizza thanks to our community partner, Climalock.
Congratulations to Billy T., Killian H., Brenner B., Shay S., Reid L., Ellie W., Aliana H., Baron P., LaRayne R., Lexi S., Johnny W., and Dallas L.!


Mrs. Logan’s preschool class at South Elementary celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday by reading the story “Green Eggs and Ham” and preparing, making and cooking green eggs and ham together.
