Big congratulations goes out to these well deserving teachers who recently received grant awards from the Warsaw Education Foundation. Since 2007 the Warsaw Education Foundation has given over $28,094 in grants to teachers in the Warsaw R-IX School district. Thank you, Warsaw Education Foundation, for all you do to make our district a better place for students to learn, grow and succeed!

School Offices will be open starting Tuesday, Aug 6th from 8am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. More information is in the news article link.


We are excited to welcome students back to school for the 24-25 school year. We will start enrollments on Tuesday, August 6th. Our enrollment dates and times will be posted later this week.

They are encouraging timeslots below according to parent's last name:
A-G from 3 to 4 pm, H-M from 4 to 5 pm, N-Z from 5 to 6 pm.


Here are some pictures of our 3rd-grade field trip today. A huge shout out to the Petal Market on Main and the Reser Funeral Home for sponsoring our trip to Creative Palate and Back in Time ice cream. The kids had a blast!








It is hard to believe summer school is already halfway over! Its been so much fun and has flown by so far! Here are some pictures of our Lego builds and activities this week.

Elementary Summer School is off to a great start! Attached are some pictures of our first-day LEGO builds from 3rd and 4th grade. Students are having a fantastic time learning!

During our retirement celebration, JD Findley received a special award from the Missouri Highway Patrol for his 46 years of service as a bus driver.

Congratulations to our STEM teachers of the year! South first grade teachers Mrs. Breanna Collins and Mrs. Holly Redd! A big thank you to Anglers Port Marine for sponsoring this award!


Our baseball team won districts last night. The sectional round of the state tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, 5/21, at 5pm.
We are moving our regular board meeting to Monday, 5/20, at 6:30pm.


South School First Grader Rozlynn Pennington won first place in the Benton County Farm Bureau "Thank a Farmer Week" coloring contest. She received a medal and certificate from Farm Bureau. way to go, Rozlynn!

Today, all of the Millionaire Readers from South Elementary were treated to lunch at El Camino Real. These students each read over 1 million words using the accelerated reader program. This accomplishment took a lot of dedication and hard work, and we are so pleased to honor these students!






Yesterday, all South students, preschool through 5th grade, participated in a fun-filled day of outdoor games, water activities, and much more. The South PTO provided popsicles for all students. We were very grateful that the weather cooperated for the most part. What a great way to help close out the school year! Tomorrow (5/16) will be our last day, which is a half-day dismissal.











This week, the fourth graders from South attended a field trip to the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium in Springfield. They had a great time and enjoyed a great learning experience!
