Reminder that tonight there are open auditions for the Wizard of Oz play. These will be from 4-7pm at the John Boise Middle School Music Room.
Any 4th or 5th Grade student may audition.

We'd like to give a huge shout out to our amazing facility crew for all of their hard work over the summer. As everyone gets settled into the new school year routine, please remember that is takes every single one of us to keep our facilities looking nice! #WildcatExcellence

Happy Open House day, North Wildcats!
District-wide Open House is tonight from 5-7, please come when you are able! We will unlock the front doors promptly at 5:00.
Our process will be a little different this year at North. Please come in through the front doors which face Kosciusko street. From there we will guide you to the gym where we will have tables set up with class rosters. This is to avoid the front being crowded and families having to wait outside or in the cramped foyer.
We can't wait for you to meet your teachers, classmates, and drop off school supplies.
It's going to be a great year, Wildcats!

Big congratulations goes out to these well deserving teachers who recently received grant awards from the Warsaw Education Foundation. Since 2007 the Warsaw Education Foundation has given over $28,094 in grants to teachers in the Warsaw R-IX School district. Thank you, Warsaw Education Foundation, for all you do to make our district a better place for students to learn, grow and succeed!

New teacher training at Warsaw today! We are excited to have them join the Wildcat team.

Dear North Wildcat Families,
Hello, Warsaw Wildcats! This is Raini Ward, Principal at North Elementary. I have loved the students of this school district for my entire career in education, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be here. I look forward to getting this school year started! Our staff at North strives to make our school a safe, comfortable, and exciting place to be. We’re excited to meet you, or to see you again, in our halls and classrooms.
At North Elementary, we have three basic rules. We expect all students to be safe, respectful, and responsible. We also have three goals for life. “I can make good choices even if I’m mad, sad, frustrated, or upset,” “I can make good choices even when others are not,” “I can make good choices even if I don’t want to or it’s hard.” At North, we want to ensure students are ready for lives as successful adults one day and do our best to instill life values and academic knowledge every day.
Here are some things you need to know before our first day of school:
Class Rosters: Students will find out who their teacher is for the 24-25 school year at Open House.
Open House: Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 15 from 5:00-7:00pm. At that time you can come in to see our school, find your classrooms, and meet your teachers. You can also drop school supplies off at that time. Our teachers will be unable to meet students early but look forward to Open House!
Arrival & Dismissal: Our school car rider line will begin in the mornings at 7:35am and in the afternoon at 3:20pm. The car rider line begins from Oak Street to Stage Coach to Kosciusko. Please follow the line and do not exit your car, this allows for the line to keep moving. Staff is always assigned to a cone to help students exit and enter cars. For student safety, parents are not permitted to come into classrooms in the mornings or during the afternoon dismissal. Not even on the first day of school.
School begins at 7:50am and ends at 3:27pm. Students are considered tardy after 7:55. Any late check-in or early check-out affects students' attendance. If you have a transportation change- those need to be clearly communicated to the office prior to 2:00pm each day. Transportation changes will not be accepted after 2:00pm for student safety. We have to get all of them where they need to go.
Breakfast & Lunch: All students in our district receive both free breakfast and lunch. We’re grateful for the grant which provides these meals at no cost to our students. There is no need for sending lunch money with your child. Students are also not permitted to bring anything but water in their water bottles.
Handbook: The elementary student/parent handbook is available online. Please make sure to read over our policies.
If you have changes to address or phone number or have further questions, please contact the office beginning August 6. Our office is open from 8-12:00 and 1:00-3:00. It’s going to be a great year!
Respectfully,
Raini Ward, North Elementary Principal
