May 2025 Recap: Updates From Warsaw R-IX School District Board Meeting
The Warsaw R-IX Board of Education met on May 29th to review key district updates, recognize community and staff contributions, and approve several action items in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Although the certified and classified staff members of the month were unable to attend in person, the board recognized Charlie Belk and Amy Spunaugle for their outstanding service. Belk was named Classified Staff Member of the Month, and Spunaugle was named Certified Staff Member of the Month. The board also honored the Salvation Army of Warsaw with the Wildcat Pride Award for its continued support of students and families in the district.
The meeting’s program spotlight featured a year-end review of high school activities and athletics. Activities Director Ryan Boyer shared highlights from a successful year across Wildcat sports and activities. He also presented a check for $25,000 from the Warsaw Booster Club, marking the club’s final payment toward the district’s athletic building.
In new business, Superintendent Scott Gemes provided an overview of the 2024–25 budget and a preliminary review of the 2025–26 budget.
