Weβre excited to welcome Mr. Hernandez to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He graduated from the University of Central Missouri after previously attending Oak Grove High School. As a first-year teacher, he gained experience through practicums across K-12 grade levels as well as student teaching at both the secondary and elementary levels.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Hernandez will serve as an Assistant High School Boys Basketball Coach. He is a big sports fan who enjoys baseball, basketball, football, and recently started playing golf. He also enjoys working out, relaxing, and spending time with family and friends. πβΎοΈπ
Mr. Hernandez is excited to begin his teaching career in Warsaw after hearing great things about the district from former teachers who have worked here. He looks forward to meeting new people, building connections, and helping students learn and become excited about learning.

Weβre excited to welcome Mrs. Smith to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! She earned her associate degree from State Fair Community College and her bachelorβs degree from Columbia College. She began her teaching career at Lincoln R-2 as an elementary special education teacher for grades K-6 and is excited to begin her next chapter teaching 5th grade math at JBMS.
Mrs. Smith is excited to teach at Warsaw because she has always felt connected to the community. She is especially looking forward to working alongside her mom and cousin!

Weβre excited to welcome Mrs. Sanders to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! Mrs. Sanders has spent the past three years serving as a paraprofessional at JBMS, where she has built meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff. She is excited to step into the classroom and continue supporting the students and community she has come to know and love.
Mrs. Sanders believes every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. She is especially excited to teach many students she already knows while also getting to know new faces and building new relationships.
Outside of school, Mrs. Sanders enjoys spending time with her husband and their five children, ages 9 months to 14 years old. You can often find her cheering her kids on at a ball field or volleyball court. She also enjoys restoring furniture and getting creative in her home upholstery shop. πβΎοΈπ οΈ

Weβre excited to welcome Mr. Best to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He will be teaching 8th and 9th grade History. Before joining Warsaw, Mr. Best taught fourth and fifth grade at Humansville School, where he had the opportunity to get to know and work with his students over the past couple of years.
Mr. Best is currently completing his bachelorβs degree in history and is excited to continue learning alongside his students and bring his passion for history into the classroom.
Outside of school, Mr. Best enjoys gaming, reading, singing, driving, andβmost importantlyβspending time with his daughter, Pyper. He says being a dad is his favorite title and is incredibly proud to be her dad. β€οΈ

Weβre excited to welcome Coach Brandon to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He graduated from Southwest Baptist University, where he played collegiate football while earning his degree in Physical Education. After graduation, he had the opportunity to continue coaching football at SBU before beginning his teaching career.
Outside of school, Coach Brandon enjoys all things sports, working out, spending time outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Coach Brandon is looking forward to building relationships with students, encouraging them to stay active and healthy, and becoming a positive part of the Warsaw school community.

Weβre excited to welcome Mr. Milzarek to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He brings a strong background in music education and performance, with a Bachelorβs of Music Education with an emphasis in percussion from Pittsburg State University and a Masterβs of Music Performance from the University of MissouriβKansas City.
His teaching experience includes the Mt. Vernon R-V School District and serving as an Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Missouri Southern State University.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Milzarek enjoys baseball (especially the Chicago Cubs!), cooking, video games, and all things music. He and his wife, Lindsey (who is also joining us this year!), are also expecting a little one in September! Their family includes two cats, Leo and Reggie, and two dogs, Hazel and Mabel. πΎ
Mr. Milzarek is excited to build on the foundation thatβs already here and work alongside students, families, and our community to grow a band program that everyone can be proud of.

The stage is set! The WHS Class of 2026 will be celebrated tonight (5/21) at 7:00 PM. πβ¨
At this time, the plan is still to host the graduation ceremony outside on Randy Morrow Field. Should anything change, we will send out additional communication.
A few important notes & reminders:

ΏοΈ Overflow parking will be available across the street at the Warsaw Shrine Club. A trolley will be provided for transportation to WHS from the Shrine Club.
βΏοΈ A shuttle will also be available for any accessibility needs. Please find a worker when you arrive in the parking lot.
ποΈ Tickets are required for entry, and your name must be on the attendance list. Tickets were distributed to seniors, and it is their responsibility to hand them out.

Senior Families:
β° Seniors need to arrive for the ceremony by 5:30 PM and can be dropped off at the front of WHS.
π Seniors attending Project Grad must be back to WHS no later than 10:00 PM to catch the bus.
