Wildcat Pride Award for April 2026 - Michael Henderson
Michael Henderson has been selected as the Wildcat Pride Award for April 2026. This award is given to an individual and/or group that has shown dedication to the Warsaw R-IX School District through involvement in activities, contributions to the programs, and positive impact made towards our students and staff. Michael has taken great pride in the Warsaw R-IX School District and also the Warsaw community.
Michael is an alumnus of Warsaw High School and currently serves as a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper in our community. He and his wife have two children, Isaac and Rebekah, who attend Warsaw High School, and their oldest daughter, Rachel, graduated in 2024.
Michael has been a tremendous supporter of the Warsaw R-IX School District, particularly in the area of safety and security. His communication, presence, and willingness to assist during soft lockdowns have not gone unnoticed. Earlier this year, during a football game, we experienced a medical emergency, and although Michael was off duty, he immediately stepped in to help. He also followed up with those involved afterward, demonstrating his continued care and professionalism.
There are many additional ways Michael supports our district behind the scenes. He regularly patrols our parking lots, walks through our school buildings, and is always willing to assist whenever needed.
Thank you Michael for your time and dedication to the Warsaw R-IX School District. Keep up the great work!
