Jaxson Deckard is a senior at Warsaw High School and was the top nominee in a recent teacher survey for our Board of Education Student Spotlight. We are proud to recognize such an outstanding leader at WHS!

Jaxson is currently ranked at the top of his class with an impressive 4.19 GPA. He was recently appointed to the United States Air Force Academy, receiving nominations from Senator Josh Hawley and Congressman Mark Alford.

Throughout his high school career, Jaxson has excelled academically and in extracurricular activities. He has been on the A Honor Roll all four years and has earned the Certificate of Academic Excellence—an award given to the top 15 students in each class—every year. His leadership roles include Student Body President, Varsity Cross Country Team Captain, Prom Committee President, and Math Team President. He also serves as a CSIP Student Representative.

In addition to his leadership positions, Jaxson is actively involved in track and field, National Honor Society, Madrigal Choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Future Business Leaders of America.

Jaxson plans to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and serve his country as an aviator. He also hopes to inspire others to join the military and strive to reach their full potential.
