Austyn Wright is a seventh grade student at John Boise Middle School (JBM). She was the majority winner in a survey sent to JBMS teachers asking for nominations for our student spotlight for the board of education. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful leader like Austyn at JBMS!
Here are some things teachers said about her when nominating her for this spotlight:
Austyn has a great work ethic and is always willing to help out. She is the first to volunteer when I need a student's help. Austyn is encouraging to those around her and is a positive influence on her peers.
I have had Austyn in my advisory class the last two years and she usually has all of her work already finished, but gets right to work if she does have work. I have also had Austyn in my Art and Sculpture classes and she always worked very hard with a positive attitude. I could always count on her to challenge herself and do her very best.
Not only is Austyn a dedicated athlete, participating in volleyball and softball here at school, but she also competes in dance and pageants outside of school. Her passion for both sports and the arts shows her well-rounded commitment to personal growth and achievement.
Beyond her extracurricular activities, Austyn is deeply involved in giving back to her community. She has created care packs for our Wildcat Store, helping students in need, and regularly visits elementary students to read to them, fostering a love for learning in younger generations.
Despite her busy schedule, Austyn excels academically, always maintaining high grades and balancing her responsibilities with impressive poise and dedication. She embodies the spirit of hard work, kindness, and community service, making her an incredible role model for her peers.
Austyn is always helping other students, working hard in classes, and has extracurricular activities she's involved in. Every time I see Austyn, she has a smile on her face.
Way to go, Austyn! Keep showing your Wildcat Pride in everything you do! We’re so proud of you.
